A straight line is a continuous extent of length without breadth or thickness. It is the shortest way connecting two points. A straight line does not make any gap. It follows the direction in which someone began to trace it. Simply and straight. In a sad and futuristic Berlin, young school children peacefully learn to draw straight lines. This work, meaningless, will become their daily task for the rest of their lives.

Yesterday I was in Bombay to complete the DI of the indian feature film: Rakkhosh. After one week of work with Prakash, the colorist, we finaly achived the color mood of the movie. I'm now back in Paris and I let him finish the job. For me, this is the end of a 1 year adventure as a cinematographer on a bollywood film. This experience in Bollywood industry was kind of crazy and definitly far away of everything I'm used to. As a DOP, you keep learning all your life. This kind of project definitly makes you better.
